What is it that is so beguiling about the moon? Is it that it is always changing? Hiding in the clouds? Gazing down upon us all? Lighting up dark nights? It is the inspiration for love songs and poetry. A companion in loneliness. A granter of wishes.

It sometimes feels like a friend. I often talk to the moon and I know I’m not the only one. It’s always there; we know it’s there, even when we can’t see it. It’s one of the great constants that we can rely on. And yet it is always changing. Never the same from one day to the next.
